Nov. 5, 2003 - Mt. St. Helens
Climbed Mt. St. Helens with Matt (my son-in-law) and Pastor Pete in 2003. It was a six-mile walk. The hardest part was over some big rocks. The ash at the top for approximately a mile is soft and hard to walk. The weather was great.
I also did this walk with Zida and Matt and their wedding party and Matt’s parents in 1999. The dust was blowing really bad and it got into everything. The weather was cold and blustery too. I recommend taking goggles to keep the dust out.
It is a good mountain to climb for a beginner.
